Dublin 4 splits into two patterns for us. The Ballsbridge / embassy-row side does formal dinners, dinners in private clubs, and the occasional Aviva-corner corporate evening. Sandymount village does private dinners and garden weddings.

Garden weddings in Sandymount
Sandymount village throws a particular kind of small wedding — 60–100 guests in a garden marquee, plated or family-style dinner, the strand a short walk away for the photographer. We do four to six of these a year. The vans usually park on the Strand Road double-yellow with a notice on the dash; Aoife handles the resident-permit courtesy with the family the week ahead.

Formal dinners along the embassy belt
The Ailesbury Road / Shrewsbury Road corridor gets a particular kind of formal dinner — 14 to 24 covers, full plated service, often a 5-course with a wine-pairing service from the host's own cellar. We've been booked enough times in this corner that the format is well-rehearsed.
